I was so struct by the connection between these two beauties that I just knew I had to try to capture it. I think I came close - what do you think?
The contrast in their colourings also intrigued me - how to capture them both without making one more prominent than the other. As the painting developed, I found myself reflecting on the inequality of dark versus white and that age-old problem that still haunts our own society. If only we could learn from the example of the animal world.
