REFLECTIONS
Original Oil On Canvas by Nikki Carr
80 x 70 x4cm
DELIVERED FREE WITHIN THE UK AND EUROPE OR HAND-DELIVERED IF YOU’RE NOT TOO FAR AWAY!
Layers and layers of transparent glazes work together to build up the gorgeous shine and texture of this beauty's face, neck and mane. As always, it is this combination of silky-soft, touchable surface over an incredibly strong muscular structure beneath that I am constantly trying to capture.
That said, the greatest challenge that I faced here, was how to capture the eye - there is just so much going on there in the reflections. The curvature of the eye meant that it was like painting an abstract mini landscape painting within a painting! I have asked so many people what they see in the eye and I have had equally as many different answers! What do you see?
Created on a 4cm deep stretch canvas, finished on all four sides. Strung and ready to hang.

Framing is not necessary but it would also look great in a canvas floating frame - I can organise this for you, just ask!
